Hi there.. and welcome to Shelagh National School. Our school is called "Scoil Bhride" after Saint Brigid who lived quite near to us in a place called Faughart.

You will find us in the north west corner of Co Louth the smallest county in Ireland. This site is designed to help our pupils, our parents and our teachers with the work we do with our children. We would be delighted if you contact us and tell us about where you come from and what you think about our school and our work.

We've been here since 1962 but we have re built in 2003 and now there are great facilities and plenty of exciting things to do when we come to school
There are 55 children altogether attending Scoil Bhride and they come from 20 families. There are many new houses being built in the community and it is a really great place to live.

You can contact us by E Mail at any of the addresses on the site and we will try to reply to as many messages as possible
